I bought the first BATCH of 360s, it lasted until late last year before it got the rings. ________________________________________________

yah, that happened to me. Accept when we said 4 rings of death they said warranty didnt cover it, and they already charged me repairs before I sent it in. So even after not refunding the money, I send it in for the 3 rings with the warranty I had with it.
It came back and I patched it up to this latest patch that changed the interface completely, making little Wii-esk dudes. Then xbox live started ****ing up, making me turn my xbox on and off 3-4 times to connect.
Then it started randomly saying "This disk could not be read" even when I'm playing videos off my HD.
Then it started randomly freezing.
Now it wont go past the logo screen, hell, it wont even go halfway through. It turned the xbox 360 logo from silver and green to a pixelated green and black. ________________________________________________

Idk, it looks like there is still a lot of potential with the 360. Remember as far as console development goes, they can now send updates until the hardware becomes out of date, since the software won't. And that could be awhile. ________________________________________________
